For my blog I will be analyzing http://bleacherreport.com/ with a basis on rhetorical analysis. Rhetorical analysis is defined as a process "that breaks a work of non-fiction into parts and then explains how the parts work together to create a certain effect—whether to persuade, entertain or inform."

In regards to TH!NK’s Intellectual Standards for Critical and Creative Thinking, the two most depicted in this blog are fairness and relevance. This site covers any and every news that will come up in regards to sports. It doesn't matter if it's good news or bad news this site will deliver it with unbiased writing. The relevance aspect is so easy to talk about because it seems that relevance comes naturally to bleacherreport. Everything you see is in someway or another related to sports and that's just what the authors are trying to accomplish: all sports, all the time. Now my background in this topic probably isn't as well versed as somebody else, but I like to say that I'm well versed in the world of sports. I've played sports ever since I was young and follow them to a certain degree.

I've never been the best writer, especially when it comes to rhetorical analysis, so I guess just what I'm really trying to get out of this project is the knowledge and understanding it takes to become a better writer in the future.
