This is the painting Chimborazo by Frederic Edwin Church. I chose this painting because it was done by another artist from the Hudson River School. This relates to my piece of art from feeder 4.1 because it employs several of the same art strategies. Some of which are the use of bright vibrant color as well as amazing detail in landscape.
This is the painting Sidney Plains with the Union of the Susquehanna and Unadilla Rivers, which like my original piece of art, was done by Jasper Francis Cropsey. I chose this because of obvious reasons like that it was painted by the same artists and obviously employs the same style. Cropsey, as an artist of the Hudson River School, used vibrant colors to bring on emotions from just depictions of landscape.
This is the painting Greenwood Lake also done by Jasper Francis Cropsey. I obviously chose this because of the fact that it's done by the same artist and obviously has the same style. Now it may not have as vibrant as colors as normal, but it still has the amazing attention to detail, like my original painting, that Cropsey was known for.
This a postcard for Eagle Cliff, Franconia Notch, New Hampshire. I chose this picture because honestly with having to use commercially used pictures from Flickr this was the best I could find. This is significant to my original painting because it's the same subject of landscape.
This is a marble statue that was done during the romanticism movement. I chose this because it really captures what the romanticism movement was about. Capturing and then invoking emotions in exquisite detail. This relates to my original art because they both share that attention to detail and traits of the romanticism period.
